Allergen Content

The Allergen Content page allows you to configure and manage allergen information for your food products. This is essential for FSA compliance and ensuring customer safety.

  1. Navigate to Settings in the main menu
  2. Click on Allergen Content

The Allergen Content form is a dynamic table that allows you to:

  • List all food items/products
  • Indicate which allergens are present in each item
  • Maintain up-to-date allergen information
  • Export allergen data for compliance purposes

The allergen form consists of:

  • Rows: Each row represents a food item/product
  • Columns: Each column represents an allergen or attribute
  • Cells: Each cell indicates whether an allergen is present

The form typically includes these allergens:

  • Celery
  • Cereals containing gluten
  • Crustaceans
  • Eggs
  • Fish
  • Lupin
  • Milk
  • Molluscs
  • Mustard
  • Nuts
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame
  • Soybeans
  • Sulphur dioxide/sulphites
  1. Click Add Row or the Plus icon
  2. Enter the food item name in the first column
  3. Mark allergens present in that item
  4. Click Save to save changes
  1. Click Edit to enter edit mode
  2. Make changes to allergen information
  3. Click Save to apply changes
  • Click on any cell to update allergen information
  • Add or remove allergen markers as needed
  • Changes are saved when you click Save
  1. Enter edit mode
  2. Click the Delete icon on the row you want to remove
  3. Confirm the deletion
  4. Click Save to apply changes

⚠️ Warning: Deleting items cannot be undone. Ensure you have backups if needed.

When not in edit mode:

  • You can view all allergen information
  • Information is read-only
  • Click Edit to make changes
  • Read Permission: Required to view allergen content
  • Write Permission: Required to edit allergen information

If you don’t have the required permissions, contact your account administrator.

  • Keep allergen information accurate and up to date
  • Review allergen information regularly
  • Update information when recipes or ingredients change
  • Ensure all food items are listed
  • Mark all relevant allergens for each item
  • Allergen information must be accurate and accessible
  • Information should be available to customers
  • Regular updates are required when ingredients change
  • Records should be maintained for audit purposes
  • Export allergen information for compliance records
  • Keep historical records of changes
  • Document any allergen-related incidents

  • For customer information displays
